Hi Bill I have recently been scanning old photos and wanted to do the same thing. The closest I have come as follows Once you select the photo you wish to name, try a right click and this brings up Get Info which allows you to add some description. That at least retains some information for you Likewise when you identify say a photo scanned taken in 1992 if you go to Image and select Adjust time and date, this will allow you to correct the date and place your photo in the correct date order. I took that a little further by opening a series of folders date 1992 etc and dragged a copy of the photo in question from the Import screen into that folder.
Not perfect but I have disposed of a lot old unwanted photos that would have gone in the bin at the end of the day Regards Graeme > On 22 Nov 2018, at 9:35 am, Juliet Kitson <[email protected]> wrote: > > Hello al Photos users. > Does anyone know if it possible to add a title to a photo and super impose it > on the photo. > Regards Bill > -- The WA Macintosh User Group Mailing List -- > Archives - <http://www.wamug.org.au/mailinglist/archives.shtml> > Guidelines - <http://www.wamug.org.au/mailinglist/guidelines.shtml> > Settings & Unsubscribe - > <http://lists.wamug.org.au/listinfo/wamug.org.au-wamug> Graeme Winters [email protected]
