Hi Ronni This is not the problem at all. I have been unable to play CDs through iTunes. I have gone through many bits and pieces as outlined below. I tried importing a CD track into iTunes, it appeared to import but would not play. Purely for interest I tried importing it as AAC and much to my surprise it played unlike when I had previously imported it as MP3. The AAC comment etc is really a red herring what I am interested in doing is playing a CD directly. Barry
