I cannot believe that after all these years on Linux, i messed that up, 
thank you.

Yay it compiled!

Yay it started to run the initial load screen!

Hey, what is this constant buzzing sound, and my entire system is 
hard-locked?  :(

It appears i have some tweaking to do.  :)  Thanks for your help, and 
given that it at least displayed a graphic means i'm on the right track.
