>>>just happened to catch a little of the movie "The Courtship of Eddie's Father" on the classic movie channel last nite. There was Glenn Ford with Ronny Howard as Eddie. Never had seen or heard of this movie. I do remember the TV version, though. Wasn't that with Bill Bixby? <<<
---Yes that was our Very Own Ronald Bailey (Bill Bixby) . Thanks for the story about the Movie--Did not know that. >>>I picked up a copy of "TV Land To Go: The Big Book of TV Lists, TV Lore, and TV Bests" (2001) at a used book store. As we would all hope and expect, TAGS shows up regularly.<< That's a great book. I've quoted from it here in the past. Be sure and study up on what the "triple" is. I believe it is used quite a bit on our favorite show. ------- Something occurred to me the other day when watching "Mountain Wedding" Andy says about the Marriage License "I gave you a copy and I kept a copy here for my files" Wouldn't you think he would send a copy into the state??? Just a technicality, I guess. He never says "by the power invested in me by the state of North Carolina'" so maybe Ernest T was right--the original Dud and Charlene wedding wasn't official??? ----- You're right Dennis about Andy being a model Dad. The only decision I ever questioned was sending Opie to the Bully for the punch in the nose (not meaning to start a moluage here). What I like about him also was that he was never afraid to admit when he was wrong.
