I have a question that I know someone must know the answer to. Which town was
the county seat of the county where Mayberry was located? I am almost sure it
could not have been Mayberry since there was no County Courthouse in the town,
and there was no county sheriff in town. Even though Howard was introduced as
the county clerk, as far as I could tell, no other county officer had their
offices in Mayberry. No county treasurer, no county commissioners. So if
anyone knows the answer to this question I sure would like to hear it.
