I watch the Encore Westerns channel on my cable a lot, and today I caught an
old Audie Murphy movie "The Cimmaron Kid". And who do you think was one of
the bad guys in the movie? None other than James Best in one of his earliest
movie appearances in 1951. I am an old man now, but I was only 1 year old
when that movie came out. So you know about how old that makes James Best.
Also in the movie was J. Howard Jackson (Roy Roberts), the magazine publisher
who has it in for Andy.James Best was so young in that movie I almost did not
recognize him. Speaking of not recognizing James Best, if someone had not
posted on this site that James Best was in the movie "The Sweeter Side of Life"
I never would have recognlized him in that role.
