It has been a while since we have had a good discussion about Andy, and
today I got to thinking. We all know that TAGS was made back in the 60's,
and things were a lot different in the 60's. But when I am watching Andy and
they say something politically incorrect, my ears will perk up instantly.
Several things were said on Andy that absolutely could not be said on
television today. Like the time Charlene was going to divorce her husband,
and Briscoe came to town to give her a lecture. Briscoe told Charlene "You
have got a husband that hardly ever hits you". Let me tell you, that
absolutely would not be allowed in 21st century television.
I know there are more examples, and it might be fun to see if anyone else can
come up with an example of something that could not be said on television today.
