Joseph: To ease the strain on my grey matter I ran the css through the w3c validator and it mostly validated, a couple of errors - I didn't keep a copy but the html wouldn't validate because you had no <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> or equiv in there ( at least I think that was the reason ) but if you have some structural flaw the validator should show it up:
