Hi,

Just a couple of reasons off the top of my head.  You could tell your
client that a page can look good with good code or bad code but it will
load quicker with good code (the file size will be smaller) and it will
be viewable to a greater audience on different browsers/computers.  Also,
updating a page with bad code is horrendous!!   (Ask me how I know . . .
:-)  )  

I am not sure why the clients are inquiring about the code.  My clients
(so far) just want to make sure that the site looks good and works.
