Yeah, looks as if you've picked up a BHO (Browser Helper Object), probably 
as a result of a drive-by install. Go to 
http://www.definitivesolutions.com/bhodemon.htm and get BHODemon. It will 
let you know what you've got and will enable you to disable/remove anything 
you didn't explicitly install or which you otherwise don't want.

My first thought is spyware. Run AdAware and Spybot and see what you come 
up with.
