I've decided it's time to move from ASP Classic to ASP.NET 2.0. Note I
never leanred ASP.NET 1.0, I'm totally new to .Net. I have the 90 day
evaluation edition of Visual Studio 2005, along with Web Developer.
I remember when I first learned ASP I used Visual Interdev's controls.
I soon stopped using them. The more I learned the more restrictive they
became. Is this the case with the controls that are included with the
current Visual Studio? Should I use them, use them with plans to
replace them when I learn more, or keep away from them all together?
What are your opinions of Visual Studio? Is there a different
development environment you would recommend?
Thanks,
Diane
