Visual Web Developer Express is the free "lite" version of Visual Studio. If you do OS programming as well then Visual Studio is the one you want.
FWIW, even in classic asp you had language choices either vbscript or jscript.<g> Cheryl D Wise MS MVP FrontPage http://by-expression.com Online instructor led training http://starttoweb.com -----Original Message----- From: Diane Schips I had visions of finding I was using a newer version of Visual Interdev like controls. I'm finding just what you said - the controls are part of ASP.NET 2.0 and not limited to Visual Web Developer Express. I will be getting Visual Studio 2005 (I have the evaluation edition) as I also do VB programming. When I open it, it appears to include the VWD that had been installed first. Is there a comparison anywhere between VWD and VS 2005? Apparently ASP.NET is not considered a language the way ASP classic was. VB and C# are the two most common languages for programming under ASP.NET. So what is the difference between using VB and VWD? ____ The WDVL Discussion List from WDVL.COM ____ To Join wdvltalk, Send An Email To: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] or use the web interface http://e-newsletters.internet.com/discussionlists.html/ Send Your Posts To: [email protected] To change subscription settings, add a password or view the web interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/read/?forum=wdvltalk ________________ http://www.wdvl.com _______________________ You are currently subscribed to wdvltalk as: [email protected] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
