Well -- the fact is that MS has the best "hot air" machine in the industry.
And the press (WSJ types) have held Apple to a different "standard" than MS
... just look at the difference in headlines.

Perhaps Mac owners are a lot like women <g> ... being a cultural minority,
that is.

Sociological research shows that women in general (and men-of-color) have a
better understanding of both /their/ culture and other cultures, including
dominant culture (ok, I'm talking US here). OTOH, white males often don't
even understand their own culture, much less that of those "other" people.

Please don't ask me for the citation -- I forget which psychology book this
comes from. But this is  research based, not anecdotal.
