I kept mine, but am using it less and looking for an alternative. I used it mostly to communicate with my hosting service for tech questions, using minimal ID info in my setup. I noticed that Yahoo has a "java pager" now, which brings up more issues of security. I looked through the Yahoo site and saw no discussion at all about security. I did not see any kind of encryption option, either. Seems to me that this pager would be even more exposed to hijacking of messages than ICQ. Feel sorry for all the people pumping info into this system, and into Yahoo. I mentioned that I thought maybe Yahoo would turn into more of an evil empire as they got larger...having no security options on their pager, and not even discussing security, seems like another step in the "lead by omitting facts" direction...more lemmings to the cliff! Maybe security is in the works? Maybe they really just want to absorb as much info about their users as possible for their next step in domination?
