>From an organizational standpoint, the item #s are essential and have
proved to be more of a help than hindrance. Since we do their print ads
too, and Dave--being a disorganized Pisces at heart-- doesn't set up the
files the same way, I've been on both sides of that fence. Say, for
instance, we have six albums by Pat Travers: having jpeg's named
Travers.jpeg tells me exactly "nothing." It can be especially confusing
since sometimes dummy cover images get set up for use in print ads before
the cover designs are finalized, so I don't even have a visual reference.

But, we don't do the web pages until the actual CD arrives in by FedEx,
since there's no way to make the RA file without it. So, I have the CD in
hand, with the final cover art, and the CD item number on the spine, so I
can confirm that everything is as it should be. The numbering system has
worked well for handbuilt HTML pages, because I can take sh-1105.html, save
it as sh-1106.html, then quickly go through and change the item, RA and
JPEG numbers from 1105 to 1106, paste in new text and voila! new page.

One thing to consider, and

Both Filemaker and Homepage are cross-platform. Since ColdFusion isn't, and
Shrapnel already lives on a Mac server, it makes sense. The ISP is a
friend, client, and readily available by phone, so he's a great asset. He
even helped us move, God bless him!

According to the Homepage box, you "With powerful FileMaker Pro 4.0
database connectivity, it's now a simple matter to publish data dynamically
over your organization's intranet or the Internet by linking your web pages
to FM Pro databases.... Use the Filemaker Connection Assistant to easily

I also have a bad taste in my mouth since MP has been in process of linking
up with our former employers to offer MP's services via WebRing.
Fortunately, the bad taste has diminished somewhat since yesterday we just
received a check for back pay after threatening to sue. Immediately went to
the computer store to by FM and Homepage plus ordered Flash and
Dreamweaver. COOL new toys. Yeah!!!!!

Actually, no. We tend to think of Friday as "weekend" since Dave works
nights and begins his workweek on Sunday night. Friday is "escape" day. I'm
printing out the Homepage manual right now, and see some sun for the first
time in several days.
