I dug around a bit at the Allaire site and found that the general consensus
is that FileMaker 4 is not ODBC compatible, but there are plugins to add the
ODBC compatibility. Here's one I found:

at: http://www.profdata.nl/

<quote>
FileMaker Pro ODBC/SQL plug-in

Connects any ODBC datasource to your FileMaker Pro database. Developed for
FileMaker Pro 4 Macintosh and Windows version.
</quote>

more info at the site. However, as far as CF is concerned, FileMaker is not
an option in the "Create Datasource" dialog...though, from the latest
suggestions from the Allaire tech guys (6/11), it can be connected...they
just didn't say "how" in the messages that found.

Dejanews also gave me some good results on a "FileMaker 4 ODBC" query.
