Cold Fusion is an APPLICATION SERVER. It costs a grand. It runs on
Win95, NT, and Solaris. There are lots of IPPs that provide CF -- see
http://www.budgetweb.com/

CF App. Server will be out for HP-UX this fall.

Cold Fusion Studio is "homesite on steriods" -- However, you can create
your .cfm pages in any editor that lets you write code.

CF App. Server serves up files from databases using SQL calls -- so the
database behind the application must respond to SQL.

Does anyone know if Filemaker does? If the answer is yes, then I would
guess that you could use it for the DB source for a CF App.

The web server sees the .cfm extension & then sends the file to the CFAS
to process -- the CFAS then queries the database -- and serves the file
back to the web server -- which passes it on to the requesting client.
