Hi Barry
I see that others have helped you with Fetch. I used it for many years but
became very frustrated with it when it wouldn't talk to an NT server
properly. This was fixed in v3.03 but by that time I had migrated to
Anarchie.
Anarchie hasn't been worked on for a while and I've recently noticed a new
bug when I updated to MacOS 8.1 (not a real problem) but I use it all day,
every day.
As someone else mentioned, I had a problem at first understanding how it
worked but I now can't see why. :)
It works like your desktop by simply opening folders. Your desktop can get
a little cluttered but you can have any number of folders open on any
number of target servers and simply drag and drop the files you want to
move. I usually have windows open on a local (in my room) and a remote NT4
(at uni) server and flick files at both.
The folders stay open as it re-eastablishes contact each time for you.
I usually just use WS_FTP lite on the NT and (probably becasue it's lite)
it is very limited as to what I can do at once. It think from memory that
Anarchie is more like CuteFTP.
I only wish I could drag a file from one FTP window to another FTP window. :(
thanks
Bruce
