You can't.  When I get messages in to a list box, I then sort by
subject.  If the subject is of no interest, or is something that
I can't contribute or learn, I delete those messages.  BTW, this
is the method most used by list junkies, which is why subject
(and the changing thereof) is important.

That's about right.  I find I respond to 10% of all messages
received -- or 50 messages a day.  Using your calculations, and
my numbers, I spend 5 1/2 hours a day reading and responding to
e-mail.  200 messages = 2 hours.  530 messages - 5 1/2 hours.

I don't think any artificial intelligence can replace real
intelligence, unless, of course you are looking for keywords (as
in career sites).

Just kidding.  When Bush was running for president in his last
election he stated that the US has 5% of the world's population
and 95% of the world's attorneys, which is why we have some many
problems.  I think the same holds true for psychologists (my
brother-in-law is one, and he agrees ;-}).
