Exactly what I do. I'm a little bit lazy, but I'm sure that If I build up a 
set of filtering rules on the subjects this will help me to read more 
efficently my emails.
I use Pegasus and it's able to filter also subjects and text 
contained in the body...
But I think that this could be helpful only if I find a very good set of 
filtering rules.

I was kidding. But as I wrote we can reach a compromise, a clever 
use of filtering rules could help to kill many emails before you see 
them (just help not resolve the problem).
