More cool things ways to monkey around with ImageReady:
You know how sometimes after you convert an RGB file that's supposed to be
say, three colors (blue, purple and black, for example), to indexed color
and end ups with stray pixels of unwanted colors, (yellow, for example).
With ImageReady, you don't have to go in and hand retouch all those yellow
pixels. All you have to do is drag the yellow swatch to the trash and
voila, they're gone, mysteriously replaced by a more appropriate color.
Also, the indexed color menu gives you the usual options of 256 (or 216)
colors, 128, 64, and so on. But you can also either click the 'up' or
'down' arrow or type in another value, to get a number anywhere in between
these set values. You could, for example, reduce 64 colors to 50 colors.
Conceivably, you could reduce the size of an image by a few k without
stepping all the way to the next lower increment.
I love this program. I'll love it even more if the next release doesn't
crash quite as often as the trial version does.
