Sadly, steadiness is not an indication of human activity...
What is the hourly breakdown?
Does this shift between weekday and weekend?
What is the ISP breakdown?
What is the referer breakdown?
It is very easy to create a script under Unix that just keeps rolling
around through pages to give the impression of people browsing... Doing it
convincingly when scrutinized, is another matter.

On my main site, it drops significantly during weekends during the
summer, as it does for the vacation times. As someone at AOL once
suggested, my greatest competitor is good weather.

I have not noticed that, but then, I have motivated browsers who are
after information, often because they, or their loved ones, are in pain.
Can you commission a study? I'll write the scripts to do it... I am
already working on similar things. See http://www.mall-net.com/webcons/
