I totally agree. Having had an insider's view of WebRing, I advised
against it wholeheartedly from the start. They don't want to, or don't have
the funds, to place paid advertising. They do, however, have a PR person
pumping her efforts into the other non-WebRing related version of the site,
which they prefer to promote since there's no commission going from that
site to the WebRing proprietors.
They aren't going to spend megabucks promoting the site, but in the
meanwhile if they want to pay us some minibucks to rearrange buttons, I'm
not about to turn away the work -:)
