NO, I'm just playing with my 2 machines LAN to achieve some
knowledge on NT systems and TCP/IP standards...

I was planning to play with DHCP... but one thing at time

Could you be more precise... I've got a lot of MS Resource
Kit/Service Packs etc... and I can just ask to some MS people I
know, to give me what I need but since they are marketing
managers I hvae to know what to ask.

I don't want to spend any $$ just to call my 2 machines by name
and do some experience :-)

WINS should help to "translate" NetBios Names into TCP/IP
names... but I havn'e understood if I need a server or this stuff is
included in some way in NT???

Sorry I havent understood where to look at.
Are you talking about support.microsoft.com??
Or should I go to mecklermedia.com and search "WINS"?

OK but you're talking about a large network, budget, a company
etc.. I'm talking about a good place o experiment with these things
(I mean NT, I know a Linux box will be faster and solve my
problems in a moment)

Thank you very much... I'll wait for further info on NT packages ;-
etc... ;-)
