*chuckle* But it was still illegal. The issue wasn't communism, it was
lying to the American people and diverting public monies and resources
for private policies ;)
In many senses, the people's reaction is exactly the same as you
outline. To many I know, this has become more about keeping a "moral"
minority in congress from taking us to some imaginary 1950s utopia that
never existed . . . or a short sighted Congress that doesn't know what
the national good is . . .
