Hi All

I'm glad to see that we are not alone on this one. I'm also an EEO officer
(equal employment officer) and am quite frequently asked why there are only
2 women from a staff of 23 within our entire computer section.

To tell the truth we just don't get that many women even applying for
positions within our branch. A perfect example is my own position. I
attended my re-classification inteview yesterday and of the 43 applicants
not a single women was to be seen anywhere.

I must admit to becoming a little annoyed everytime the more feminist
ladies refer to our section as a boys only club I personally would like the
input and help from as many people of different sexes, nationality and
beliefs as possible. Lets face it computers a whole of planet
communication device and the more people you can include in your own
particular work environment the more people you can reach out and touch.

So ladies, don't just sit there come and join us we don't all bite or hide
behind the glow of computer screens

Bye for now
Dane
