*(first) Posting that information was not a plug for my own product. I do
not own that site. Nor have I any affiliation with it. It is an excellent
product that any webmaster can use on their site. There are other sites with
daily quotes available to webmasters. This one, I happened to like. It is no
big deal.
I realize there are Christians and non-Christians on this list as there are
on every list. What's the fuss all about? This was just a general post for
webmasters interested in that sort of thing. It was not intended to promote
anyone or anything except the work of this particular site (sperience.com)
with which, for the second time, I have no personal or professional
affiliation.
BTW, the author has religious and secular (non-religious) inspirational
quotes which I stated in my post and was overlooked. That is why I felt
comfortable mentioning this site on this list.
(second) I thought comments were supposed to be directed to the list. If I
were trying to hide my identity, the sig line would have been deleted.
The post was not intended to provoke a fight or needle anyone about their
beliefs. Only to assist and inform. After all, isn't that a part of the
function of the list?

First, this seems like direct promotion of your product. That is
usually reserved for your sig file. You can get a LOT more mileage out of
your sig file than any announcements.
Second, there are more non-christians in this world than christians,
and most of them, like myself, don't like to have any particular religion
pushed into their faces; sometimes not even their own.
There are THOUSANDS of different religions out there, each one just
as likely to be right as the next one, and too many of them Adamantly Sure
that they are the Only ones Right!
Religion is a particularly Stupid thing to fight or argue over, as
they all preach some degree of decency towards one's fellow creatures; and
the only Real difference between religions anyway, is the opinions of the
people worshiping. Whatever it is that put us all here certainly isn't
going to be changed by the opinions of mere mortals. But our arguments
might change Whatever's opinion about us, and not for the better!
(I'd stick a plug for my own religion here or in my sig file; but it
would just serve to inflame others with different points of view. Bad
enough I rail about the lack of values exhibited by our fearless leader.
And in that, I agree with those of many different religions.)
