I use WP (version 8.0) on a machine with Win98 and don't have any
problems.   We have had problems with a lot of other
applications, especially those MS is competing with ;-).  For
example, try installing an HP 8GB tape.  Works on Win95 but not
98.  Seems MS is in bed with Seagate and you have to uninstall
tape first. Another problem was with a Rockwell K-Flex modem.  We
switched to USR X2 and it works fine (although I suspect the
problem there is the modems, not Win98).

We had some problems getting 98 to work, but once we did it is
great.  Keep in mind, Win98 is only a bug fix for Win95.
