*hehehe* Though I tend to be more patient than some, I do love a good
rant. I consider this one of the best parts of this list *chuckle*
Odd that you would also be going back to BBEdit for text editing.
Facing the same stupid frustrations with the fact that Office 97 (at
work) won't save files in a format Office 95 (home) recognizes without
me remembering to "save as" (or constantly reminding secretaries to
"save as"--usually after they mailed me something at home and I then
have to lose an evening of work or trek 90 minutes RT to the office to
get the file again), I finally broke down and do everything in plain
text until the final stage. Only when it is finished do I bother to
import into Word and apply layout.
Oddly, this increased my productivity. .txt is truly platform
independent *grin*
Sad, though, that we have to go "backwards" to make "innovations" work .
