Hello, gang -- any pointers to help this Seattle WebGrrl with her question
-- I promise to compile/hold onto answers so we don't have to cough it up
again! References + anecdotes appreciated.

--- from webgrrls ---

I'm setting up a non-commercial site and had planned to use a UNIX server
since I went to the trouble of learning the language a while back. Now,
someone who's helping me with the site is recommending we use an NT
server. (Of course he works for Microsoft so he's biased, and I suspect most
of you have favorites also.)

My question to you is, how might NT be a better OS than UNIX for hosting a
web site? Or would a UNIX server really do the better job? I'd be most
interesting in hearing back from grrls who have used both for web servers.
I'm looking for practical, somewhat quantifiable pros and cons, to help me
make a decision (read, MS bashing wouldn't be helpful, unless it has a
point).

--- end query ---
