I had high blood pressure in my early 30's. It is a common family
problem. By monitoring my blood pressure several times a day to learn the
kinds of feelings associated with elevated blood pressure, I taught myself
to keep it low. Drinking a log more water, and eating garlic and onions
have also been reported to lower blood pressure.

The human body has many stable operating modes; in this safe and
stable culture, we need to learn how to run our body for longevity, not
crisis survival. We need to learn how to live, not how to consume toxic
drugs to stay alive. At least, not till we have exhausted all other
reasonable alternatives.
