Footnote: that's not necessary, although it's not a bad idea. Sendmail 8.9.1
comes configured with relaying turned off by default.
Another trick, by the way: enable port 79 (finger) and log all attempted
access to it. Or enable 23 (telnet), etc. You'd be amazed at what kinds
of interesting packets you'll snarf if you monitor well-known ports to
see who's tickling them.
