"Best viewed with a browser whose options are set the way I think
they oughta be set", eh?
I have found a simple way to deal with spammers who grab addresses
from web pages.
I seed the pages with deliberately-chosen addresses that they *really*
should not spam...like people who live in states with anti-UBE statutes.
I also seed the pages with unique addresses which ultimately come back
to me - though not in any easily-traceable fashion. This allows me
to identify which page was grabbed and by whom. I then go after the
spammers personally, which, if you have any inkling of how unpleasant I
can be when I'm actually trying to be so, is as hostile an experience
as I can possibly make it for them.
And sometimes, just for fun, I seed the pages with addresses of known,
habitual spammers.
