there indeed is a conflict between atm4 and macos8.5(1), but you can do
wonders by
1) turning of the screen smoothing in ATM (since the mac-os does that for
you now)
- Smooth Font Edges on Screen - (don't check the checkbox)
2) not letting ATM preserve character shape for you
- Preserve Line Spacing - (instead of Character Shapes)
