Word of warning,  The placement agencies tend to work for the
employer's best interests.  NOT Yours.  They tend to only look
for THEIR money and not yours.  You would be better off trying to
get an internship at a company (or real position).

Depends on what you are wanting to do.  Many places use the
degree as a cut off point, to limit the applicant numbers.  But
more and more companies are finding out that they can't find the
trained personell.
