I guess I should have clarified my flip remark. I know who the
AIP is, but, sorry to say, unless an organized is licensed by
states or provinces, it is nothing but a collective body of
professionals. If they had a licensing process with their
certification, it would have value, i.e., licensed by the
education department of a state like the CPA's or lawyers.
Does anybody remember a CDP? It is a Certified Data Processor
bestowed by the Data Processing Management Association who tried
(unsuccessfully) to get licensing approval from the various
states. Without it, the three letters are just that.
