     I use Lynx all the time.  It is fast and decent.  The major problem
is that it does not do tables; but if you write your tables in row order
as opposed to column order, it works out ok.  That is to say, write your
table in terms of many rows, rather than long columns with the assumption
that the text within the columns will more or less line up.

     Lynx can be downloaded and compiled to run on most machines, or you
can get it with a copy of Red Hat Linux and most of the other
distributions.
