Well... it was kinda weird, really.
I approached this glitch the way I usually do, by taking chunks of
code out until the problem went away. It was immediately apparent
that the offending bit was in that one table cell with the nav
graphics... I first took out the <br> and nothing changed. Then I
started adding line breaks as per the sample code in my previous
post, and the table began working. Thereafter, if I took the <br>
out again, it would break. Put it back in, all was fine. So go figure.
I know what you mean about the spaces... should be OK if you have
just line breaks as indicated in my code, not actual spaces. I've
also noticed that some editors will leave a trailing space at the end
of a line when you hit 'Enter' to force a line break... this can be
problematic too.
Anyway, on *my* system the sample code I provided works on MSIE
4/Win95, with no unwanted spaces between nav graphics... let me know
how it turns out on yours.
