I hope someone with Windows MS IE v4.x can oblige me by taking a look at
this work in progress page:

I was presenting this page and the /staging/index.html page to the client
today as a first draft, and was rather embarrased when this enterprise.html
page (but not the index.html page) "blew up" in their Windows MS IE v4
browser. By that I mean that the left side navigation area didn't format
properly, the vertical dark blue nav bar partially duplicated itself in the
main body text area of the page.
I have no idea why this happened. I tested these pages in Mac MS IE v4, Mac
Netscape v4 and v3, Windows Netscape V4 and V3, and Windows MS IE v3, and
there is no problem. But hey, they don't call it "Internet Exploder" for
nothing! <G>
I only have one Windoze system to test on, and as you know, only a single
version of MS IE can be installed on a Windows machine (in contrast to
Macs, which seem to allow multiple versions of MS IE on one system). I've
been saving my Windows MS IE v3 version for testing, and (foolishly)
assuming/hoping that if a web page works in Mac MS IE v4 it will probably
work in the Windows version. So much for that idea.
I ran these pages through NetMechanic and they only showed a couple of very
minor errors which I have now corrected.
Thanks to anyone who can spare a second to look at the above page. Note: on
the enterprise.html page, only the "Home" and the "E 4000" link work, the
rest lead nowhere. On the index.html page, only the "Enterprise" link works
(and the link to the Sun homepage).
