That's really good to know, Barry.
I downloaded the trial version of ImageReady and it came with no
documentation whatsoever! (Surprisingly, not even a pdf file.) I was a
little put off by that and it seemed to me to be a down-sized carbon of
PS, with the ability to convert layers automatically to animated gifs.
As you may have seen, we very frequently make .gif images of text,
banners, etc., so this would certainly be worth the investment.
Hopefully the full version comes with documentation (I know Mac users
don't read manuals ;-)!, but just sometimes.... they come in handy!)
Been using PS 5 for a few weeks now and I agree -- it's super!
Inevitably the client wants to change some part of the text that we'd
just made an image of!
Just yesterday I tried applying a bevel using PhotoTools and it really
looked ragged. Tried the same thing using the PS Effects option and it
was perfect!
