and no, i'm *not* talking about a script to rotate banner ads (big deal..
it's only about ten lines anyway). rather, i happened to be going through
what's become a daily maintenance ritual for me, and realized that it
embodies exactly the kind of context shifting i love: i chucked my palm
pilot in its cradle, and hit the hotsynch button. then i pulled out my
pocket watch (circa 1897), wound it, and made sure the time on the dial
matched the one on my monitor while i waited for the synch to complete.
i dunno.. there's just something wonderful about seeing a laptop, a palm,
and a pocketwatch, all sitting together with their tops flipped open, and
bringing all three in synch with each other.
