Hello-

I did not set up the pserver for the cvs repository; however the cvsweb package 
takes the current snapshot, tarballs it, and transfers it to you via http.

Here's the link to the tarball:

Also, there is a howto available on the installation:

It is written originally for FC3, however I believe that it is easily ported to 
other distributions.
