Hello Chuck,

My bad, I should have been more detailed. But, thank you for the reply.

When I installed Apache 2.2, I followed the directions at wocommunity.org in
terms of modifying the httpd.conf file (loading mod_webobjects, including
extra/http-webobejcts.conf, etc) and created the httpd-webobejct.conf file as
documented at wocomunnity.org.

When I click the URL in JavaMonitor, I get
"http://wodev/cgi-bin/WebObjects/TCA-Tool.woa/1"; with a 404 error in IE.

Apache's access.log shows abunch of 404 errors (see above). The error log shows
the following error:

[date/time] [error] [client 10.211.55.3] script not found or unable to stat:
c:/Apache2.2/cgi-bin/WebObjects, refer:
http://localhost:56789/cgi-bin/WebObjects/JavaMonitor.woa/wo/avbG8x2aufhaMz2gFUUlng/247.0.1.0

I really think this is more of an Apache issue than WO. I just miss the Mac.
Everything worked so much easier there.

Thanks again for the reply.

Hi David,

I has been at least a decade since I have deployed anything on Windows, so I
don’t have any specifics. You will almost certainly need to change things in
Apache’s https.conf file and the httpd-webobjects.conf. I am still working on
my morning coffee so I will refer you to the several pages of guidance here:

http://wiki.wocommunity.org/dosearchsite.action?queryString=deploy

What happens when you click on the URL? Check the access.log and error.log
from Apache too.

Chuck

All,

I am porting parts of my WebObjects application to Windows and running into
troubles with the webserver portion (I believe).

The configuration is as follows:
Windows 7, firewall off
Apache 2.2 w/mod_webobjects installed
SQL Server 2008 R2, 4 databases
WO 5.4.3 installed under C:\Apple
JRE 1.7

I have WOTaskD and JavaMonitor deployed using WOStart with no problems -
whoever developed WOStart, a big thank you to you! I have configured my
webobjects application using JavaMonitor and I can connect via DirectConnect
with no observable issues. My issue is I cannot connect via the web browser by
clicking on the hyperlink under the "Name" column in JavaMonitor's application
detail page.

Possible bad decisions on my part include:
1) WOStart is named AFRL_ELMPV_Tools.exe but in JavaMonitor I am calling the
application TCA-Tool.
2) Did not change any configuration values in httpd-webobjects.conf

I am new to deployment - I have been developing for the past 5 years, but never
had to deploy under WIndows before so I am unsure what to change in the
httpd-webobejcts.conf file. For example, WebObjectsDocumentRoot and
WebObjectsAlias probably be set but I am unsure what to set them to.

Should WebObejctsDocumentRoot point into C:\Apple or into C:\apache?
What do I do with WebObjectsAlias?

Any pointers will be gladly accepted.
