That has been the party line and in principle I agree, unfortunately the
general market place isn't that enlightened.  Most companies are convinced
that resource costs for ongoing support and development are sunken costs and
license fees are hard, up front  costs; therefore the tough sell.  I am not
proposing that Apple give this product away,  merely set a price point where
license cost is a "non-issue".
