Rules for Developing Software:

(1) If it exisits try to get it for free . (see Linux or better FreeBSD)
(2) If you can't get it for free (as is the case with WOF) buy it. This is  
ALWAYS cheaper in the long run.
(3) AS A LAST RESORT,  If you can't buy it because no one will sell it to you  
then go out and build it yourself.

These rules may not be popular but to the best of my knowledge they hold true  
for 99.999% of all software development projects.

If people out there want to go about re-inventing WebObjects that's their  
business. I would advise you not to make it yours!

Last time I looked at the WebObjects numbers (yesterday) we were on a year  
over year upswing not a downturn. I know that in terms of new customer support,  
I am twice as busy as I was this time last year...
