What exactly will it take to make it clear that the legal rules here
are *NOT* of Sun's making?  They're rules imposed by the IPR
restrictions on things that Sun bought long ago.  We don't get to
renegotiate them now.  Heck, if we could, we'd have done it long
before ever launching OpenSolaris.  (And, in many cases, did do that
for things you don't even notice.  The remaining bits are the
refactory ones.)

At this point, the right answer is elimination and replacement of the
encumbered bits, not email.  Complaining about lawyers on this list
will just not do any good, either for the code or for sender of the
message.  People have been doing that since at least Shakespeare's
time with little noticable change.
