Times in leadership call for silence and some in extremis. Ideally this is a community clearly marked in the median, far from either end. We have pates to edit. We have projects to start and manage. There's lots to do. Also, we are honestly trying to make the best of an admittedly awkward situation, learn from our mistakes, and move on. So, we are taking people at their word who have been involved and who have a desire to help solve some of these issues. Very simply, we have a pool of people, Alan is asking them to confirm their status, and we trust that most will make the proper decision for him/herself. That was Alan's idea, and I think it's a good way to get started. We are trying to reduce the amount of spinning conversation and increase the speed of implementation by focusing the conversation around specific jobs.
