As a practicing physician I have a question concerning when we need to give patients the NPP. If the first date of service after April 14 for an established patient is via a telephone call at night or on a weekend and it involves giving treatment advice (e.g. how to treat an allergic reaction to a medication), do I need to mail them the NPP and try to have them mail back the receipt of acknowledgment?  Or can I give it to them the next time they come in the office such as I can do if they call on the phone to schedule an appointment?  If I have to mail it to them, is there a time frame within which I must do that?  Thanks for your advice.
