Title: RE: WebMD claims submission and 'submitter reports'
I will agree, but this IS the proper forum to discuss how such reports should be delivered.
At the present, there is no accepted standard for such reports.
The Acknowledgment and Unsolicited Health Care Status varients on the 277 transaction will eventually be the appropriate way to communicate such information (they're just AN appropriate way to do it until the full rulemaking process is compleated [in other words, don't hold your breath]).

The opinions expressed here are my own and not necessarily the opinion of LCMH.

This is not the appropriate forum for this kind of message.  Note the guidelines at the bottom of this message.

Subject: WebMD claims submission and 'submitter reports'

Hello,

We're a clearinghouse attempting to transmit 837P claims to WebMD, and are
sucessful about 90% of the time; 10% of claims are rejected for various
semantic reasons.

We receive WebMD's 'Submitter Reports' (R022, R021, R026...) that
nominally show which claims were accepted and rejected. These reports are
practically useless, as they are poorly designed and more importantly,
they truncate all reported CLM01 values to 17 characters, and we receive
claims with CLM01 values longer than 17 characters.

We'd like to automate processing of these reports.

WebMD is giving signs they will attempt to address this issue, but I'm
skeptical.

Is anyone out there dealing with this issue, or succeeding in uploading to
WebMD? I'd love to hear from you.
