Is it valid for a
carrier to refuse to process a file if the date and time reported in the ISA
match a previous file sent to that carrier? I wouldn't think so, but we
send multiple files to one carrier, and even though the control numbers are
unique, the files are sometimes rejected when the date/time reported in the ISA
are the same. This is going to happen frequently as the files are usually
created at the same date/time.
Is this a valid
cause for our file to be rejected and not processed?
